Picaso system replaces the ELA system at AVG in Karlsruhe and four passenger stations per vehicle.
During the modernization of the 86 GT8-100D fleet, all vehicles are still capable of being coupled. For this purpose, Picaso-Systems developed the Train-Line Interface TLI, which transmits the data signals for the control of the new PA system via the existing two-wire line through the couplers. Thus, no more cabling change is necessary at the coupler.
Retrofit of end-of-life vehicles is not only possible with the GT8-100D type, but with any vehicle of any manufacturer.
